Bongusta Care Club
Thread pulling It is not unusual for loose threads to appear in a terry fabric but with the right care you won’t even notice they have been there. If a loops snags, cut it off at the base with sharp scissors – do not pull! The double threads are secured on the back and will not run when you cut them. Leaving loose threads dangling can cause the terry fabric to unravel.

BONGUSTA Terry Care Guide
Our 100% organic cotton terry is designed to be soft, absorbent, and long-lasting. To ensure your Bongusta pieces stay fluffy and vibrant for years to come, we recommend following these simple care steps:
Before First Use
While we pre-wash many of our items (like our bathrobes and ponchos), we highly recommend washing all your Terry products before their first use. This "activates" the fibers, ensuring ultimate softness and optimal absorbency from day one.
The Washing Process
- Temperature: Wash at a maximum of 40°C.
- Program: Use a delicate washing program with a low spin cycle. This protects the loops of the terry and prevents the fabric from stretching.
- Detergent: Use minimal detergent. Not only is it better for the environment, but it also helps the fabric last longer.
- No Softeners: Avoid fabric softeners. They create a coating on the fibers that significantly reduces the natural absorbency of the organic cotton.

Drying for Fluffiness
For that signature soft feel,tumble-dry on low temperatures. This helps lift the cotton loops, keeping the fabric airy, soft, and fluffy.
Special Care for Accessories
If you are washing our handbags, we recommend placing them in a laundry bag to protect the strings. Before washing, make sure to tighten the knots to keep everything in place.
